Estate agents confused about Hips

A new survey has found that around 84 per cent of estate agents are unaware of the penalties associated with marketing a property without a Home Information Pack (Hip) after June 1st 2007.Referring to a survey by Simply HIP, the in2perspective website highlights a significant problem in the industry, in that very few people have worked out exactly what Hips will achieve and how they will function.While many groups and individuals have expressed their dissatisfaction with the scheme, it would seem the vast majority of people are still getting to grips with the details, although government trials that have now commenced will presumably shed more light on the topic.
